These misconceptions are based on an inaccurate perception of the differences between working out at home vs. working out in a commercial gym. As one would surmise, there is a belief that working out in a commercial gym is vastly superior to working out at home. This, honestly, is true unless an individual has the capital and space available to equip a home with professional level workout equipment. <p>Essentially, the misconception is present is that a commercial gym workout is effective, but a home exercise program will be ineffective. This is a false notion on a number of levels not the least of which being a complete disregard for human biology. If you undertake a home fitness program and stick to it, then you will get in shape. There will be certain disadvantages in regards to working out at home vs. working out in a gym, but working out at home will hardly be a waste of time.</p>
<p>A Sample Home Fitness Program</p>
<p>Here is about as basic of a home fitness program as one could possible devise. If a person were to wake up every morning and jump rope for twenty minutes, perform a reasonable set of push-ups, sit ups and body squats, then the person is taking part in an excellent exercise program that builds muscle and burns fat. Does the program sound too simple? While is may be simple, it performs a number of functions: the rope jumping is a great cardio workout and the body weight exercises aid in the development of mass. If this seems to simple to be true…very well…purchase a small set of dumbbells or even a weight bench and add progressive weight resistance exercises to the home fitness mix.</p>
<p>Again, a home fitness workout is designed to be performed at relative ease while maintaining a program effective enough to yield “gains.” While commonly mocked for not being at the same level as a commercial gym workout, home workout programs are still effective and, as such, remain highly recommended for anyone looking to get in shape.</p>
